K-RVing — Journeys, Photographs and Life on the Road
K-RVing is an independent travel publication for people who enjoy the open road and the stories it leaves behind. We bring together RV travel, camping, photography and thoughtful personal journals, welcoming readers of every background.
A Different View of the Journey
Our contributors bring Korean and Korean-American perspectives to life on the road: the meals we make, the people we meet, the landscapes we notice and the questions we carry home. We publish in English to share those experiences with a wider community of travelers.
A journey can begin in a motorhome, a camper van, a family car or a tent. It can also begin close to home, with a photograph, a quiet observation or a fresh way of seeing an ordinary day.
What You Will Find Here
- Road Journals — Personal essays and photographs from writers whose experiences, interests and voices are their own.
- RV Camping — Campground developments, reservations, RV events and practical information checked against official sources.
- From the Road — Destination reports drawn from attributed traveler accounts and official field reports, with observation dates and photo credits clearly identified.
- Weather Reports — Weather and travel impacts based on NWS, NOAA and other relevant public agencies, plus a destination weather search using NWS forecasts and alerts.
- National Parks — A starting point for discovering parks and planning a visit using official information.
About Jay
K-RVing is published by Jay Lee, a journalist who previously led the internet team at the Korea Daily and has published Korean Valley (koreanvalley.net), a community magazine and website serving the High Desert, since 2017.
Jay’s journal, The Road Within, explores the relationship between travel and reflection through photographs and writing. K-RVing gives that voice a place alongside the perspectives of fellow travelers, writers and artists.
Our Editorial Approach
Personal experience is attributed to the person who lived it. Reported information is linked to its sources, and forecasts, fees, road access and operating conditions are identified in their proper time and context. Photography carries the applicable credit and usage information. AI may assist with research, translation and editing; it is not presented as firsthand travel experience.
Our aim is to help readers prepare for a trip while making room for the quieter questions that travel can open: how we live, what we notice and what we choose to carry forward.
