A Wind Advisory remains in effect through 6 p.m. Oct. 3 for the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning and mountain areas of Riverside and San Diego counties. East wind gusts up to 45 mph could affect travel for high-profile RVs and require attention to outdoor gear.
A Heat Advisory is in effect for inland areas including Pinnacles through 10 p.m. on October 5. The NPS cautions that actual temperatures in the park may exceed the forecast, making it important to plan outdoor activity times and RV cooling arrangements.
A Flood Watch remains in effect through the night of October 4 for the northwest Florida and Alabama coast, including Fort Pickens and Pensacola. Another 4–6 inches of rain, with localized totals up to 10 inches, is forecast, so travelers should check campground access roads and evacuation guidance.
Otter Creek Campground operates through October 25, and Recreation.gov lists every site as reservation-only. Bridge work has closed Blue Ridge Parkway Mileposts 63.5 to 63.9, so travelers should separately confirm campsite reservations and their access route.
Mount Pisgah Campground’s 2026 operating season runs through October 25, with sites priced at $30 per night. The campground has no electric, water, or sewer hookups, so travelers should also verify vehicle-length limits and access conditions for their reserved site.
Camping World’s Branson tent event is scheduled for Oct. 14–18. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, so visitors should plan around the day they intend to attend.
East wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph were forecast for central and west-central New Mexico from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on October 4. RV travelers between Grants and Albuquerque should watch for afternoon crosswinds and secure outdoor gear.
A Flood Watch remains in effect for Calliham, Three Rivers, and Mathis near Choke Canyon until 7 p.m. on October 2. With another 1–3 inches of rain possible in areas that have already received rainfall, travelers should check low-lying roads and campground access conditions.
An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect for the coast including Point Mugu and Malibu through the evening of October 8. With highs near 90°F possible along the coast, travelers should plan outdoor hours and identify air-conditioned places to rest.
