High Surf and Coastal Flood Advisories were in effect for the Ventura and Malibu coasts from the morning of September 28 through the afternoon of September 29. Campers at Thornhill Broome should check high tides and on-site restrictions before using the beach or low-lying parking areas.
Rain was expected to continue in Rhode Island through Monday night, with a Flood Watch in effect until 2 a.m. on Sept. 29. Burlingame campers in Charlestown should monitor streams and low-lying roads and notify the campground in advance of delays or schedule changes.
